Sounds like your work has a proxy server that caches the pages. They have cached the maintenance page for those forums.
Try loading the page and then CTRL+F5, this should send a command to the proxy server to have it refresh the cache.
If this doesn't work, then you are going to have to wait out the cache on your work's proxy.
